The ‘MIFARE 1k’ official name is Mifare Classic EV1 1k as there has been some recent version updates to the basic product by the chip manufacturer, NXP. Some people also refer to this product as ‘MIFARE 1k Standard’.

These MIFARE 1K Classic EV1 cards contain the standard 4 byte UID and are ideal for a range of applications including cashless vending, transport, loyalty & event ticketing. Physical access control systems are another popular application and demand.

The cards are according to the ISO standard, CR80 in size (standard credit card size) with a thickness of 820 micron.

They contain a premium gloss finish to enable easy personalisation if you are planning to over-print the card with a desktop card printer. They operate at a frequency of 13.56MHz and include read/write capabilities and ISO/IEC 14443 type A compliance.

Printed Numbering Options

Which option is suitable for your needs? For the below examples, the card ID is A1 B2 C3 D4

Hexadecimal

8 Character Alphanumeric - This is how the ID is stored on the card by default - A1 B2 C3 D4

Decimal

This option takes the hexadecimal/alphanumeric card ID and converts it to numbers only - 2712847316

ISO Hex

Also know as 'byte reversed', this format reads the card ID with reversed byte order, reading from right to left - D4 C3 B2 A1

ISO Decimal

As with the ISO Hex option, this format reads the ID bytes in reverse order, before converting to numbers only - 3569595041

Sequential

Numbering will increase sequentially from the provided start point, with no relation to the inbuilt card ID - 001,002,003, etc

None - With CSV

Cards will be supplied blank white with no visible numbering but will include a CSV file of all the card IDs supplied.

Cards will be supplied blank white with no printing and no record of the cards IDs

CSV files detailing IDs supplied and their relation to the printed numbering (if appropriate) are available for all printed options and will be supplied by email at the point of despatch.
